Does anyone know if the assault rifle ban is about to be renewed? Should I go out and get some "babies" (if you watched the Youtube debate you know what I am referring to) before the ban comes back?

Undoubtedly. The goal is total civilian disarmament.

What flouride said.

If you want an automatic or semi-automatic, get while the getting's good. I'd also stock up on clips; they're going to try to ban those eventually, too.

H.R. 1022 is the new "assault weapons" ban on steroids. It is very possible to get passed and GWB has stated that he would support it.

So get you "babies", magazines, and ammo now.

Notice they are all Dems, after they stated that they would not pursue a new ban back in '06 when they won the elections.

The second amendment should protect our right to own rpg's and ied's. Those are the modern militia weapons of choice. We should have learned from the Iraqis, but no doubt our defense policy will continue to focus on big ticket items.
