I watched the debate last night. I swear I heard julie say something along these lines. "get online, become a citizen." Did i imagine that or did he say it? And what does that mean? I have searched the forum for posts on this already and didn't see any so i made a new one. I'm having a discussion with my roomates about the debate and wanted to show them that line cause i found it funny. Anyone can point me toward a clip or tell me what part of the debate to find this?

EDIT: I FOUND THIS VIDEO. SEE IT HERE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4msnGYvBNU
AND TELL ME WHAT THE HECK IS HE TALKING ABOUT. start at 0:57. he says "work, pay taxes, get online, and become a citizen"

Maybe he really said "get on land, become a citizen" referring to the wet feet, dry feet policy regarding Cuban refugees?

haha i don't know maybe so. Apparently this wasn't a big deal cause no one else noted it. I'll skim the debate tomorrow and see if i can find it.

No, he said "get on line", which is NYer talk for entering a queue of people... or getting 'in' line

ah i see. i had to ask cause i lol'd last night when i heard that. I thought he was going to let us register online for citizenship or something... Makes sense now though. I already have enough trouble understanding him with that lisp, and the accent. Add in some regional words and he lost me. Thanks!
