take a listen here. Keep in mind, 60 seconds is not a lot to say given Ron Paul's message so given the place, IOWA, we have this.. each state will have its own unique issues they find important...

You guys did a great job. Quick question. When you do a radio ad like that outside of the campaign, are you able to direct the listener to the official campaign's website or is that a violation of FEC regulations? Thanks.

Great job and congratulations to all involved!

One constructive suggestion for future ad spots like this.

I recommend throw out the "Ron Paul" name just a tad more, and the personal pronoun "he" a tad less. In the 60 second ad, I think Ron Paul's name was mentioned four times in the first 25 seconds (good), but only one more time in the remaining 35 seconds (not so good).

I know I am just a backseat driver here not having worked on the project. I am just throwing in my 2 cents constructively in case anybody in the future produces their own radio spot. The more you mention his name, the better, IMHO...

Overall it was a great commercial. Other than that one constructive suggestion, I thought it was perfect.

That is absolutely AWESOME!!!

I was cracking up thinking of how it would go over here in the People's Republic of Los Angeles - once they heard the ending birthright citizenship and welfare to illegal aliens part, there would be RIOTING in the streets and howls of racism spewing forth from the mental midgets at Mecha, Lulac, and La Raza. I can see it now.

LOL our area has been hijacked by socialist dickheads. But I digress.

hahahahaha. I AM in Los Angeles, that would be too funny. But you know, there are a TON of people who want just that -- NO illegal immigration, NO welfare..
remember, the majority want an end to it all,, its the liberal, pandering politicians who DON'T ---> they want a socialist, baby sitter system.. and they are creating an environment that WILL want that unless we get to front lines.. So, at this point, I think it would actually be fine.... for Los Angeles, no doubt they won't like it.. but you know.. its right on his site.. its not like he is hiding his intentions.....

How much is each spot costing? We might be able to get a few of the local meetup groups to sponser 1 additional ad a piece or something. We have had several groups raise thousands of dollars locally and they might be able to do something for this ad drive.

the cost is very much dependent on your market.

Every station and times have different pricing structure.

There will be MORE ad drives coming up... if you think you can corral some money in a day or two, great --- else lets push it towards the next ad drive...

yes/no/maybe?

But specifically how much for each spot. That way I can tell each group how much they need to raise. Then I can see if each group can come up with that much.

LibertyEagle
08-02-2007, 04:53 PM
As Xar said, the cost of the ads differ by station and time in which its run. See what you can come up with. Since he plans to do the same thing in other states, starting soon, if there's anything at all, leftover from what you can gather, he will use it for the next state. For it to be used in Iowa, he's going to need the money in the next day or two.

Lord XAR please respond.

If you were able to get more money within two days. How much would additional spots cost on the two channels that you are already covering? In other words, how much did the original commercials cost per spot and can we add to them. I cant go to the groups and say I want to send some money for commercials but it may or may not be spent on Iowa....blah blah blah. I need specifics. I would appreciate it if the person who is actually handling this would respond with specific information. generalities dont help.

tiznow
08-02-2007, 05:07 PM
So they can't listen to it?

No they don't want to know about it

The FEC is a guilty until proven innocent system just like the IRS, them even knowing these activities are going on I believe are some sort of violation (think they are supposed to report that this is happening etc.) Not positive, but just to be safe as possible probably a good idea to just keep this kind of stuff aware on the grassroots level.

When it comes to ads and such just DO IT and don't get the campaign involved or aware of it in anyway.

Well, this RADIO AD IS ONLY GOOD for AMES. I am working on others.. be patient.

I am general because.. $50 will get a spot, but also $350 will get a spot.

WHO is very very expensive. If you want it in primetime, okay - $350, else perhaps 50 - 80 on WOW. It just depends. That is what I was saying.

Also, if i get just $300 more, I can get 1 ad, or 5 ads.. depending on station... you know?

Unless I get $500 more, I don't see how it could help "that" much unless it is on WOW fm 98.3 -- in terms of total rotations.

In a few days, I will have a big announcement to make. Just hold up.

If you want to help - then PM me and then we can talk specific monies... But YES, if you want to help SPECIFICALLY FOR IOWA, then yes -- lets talk.
