I was coming home from classes today, at the front door to my apartment ready to unlock it when I heard a buzzing sound above me.

I looked up and it was the freakin RON PAUL AIR CORPS baby!!!

Was not expecting it at all. I had no idea it would be in Boston today. Now I'm pumped!

that owns a blimp. mainly because it's a LOT cheaper, and just as visible.

It looks like a helicopter to me.

Why is it impossible for a helicopter to pull a banner?

It was pulled by a helicopter in Iowa.

Helicopters routinely carry large banners these days. In my mind it is actually much more impressive than when pulled by a plane, and possibly more effective, as the helicopter can fly slower and lower. Helicopter banners are actually tethered in a vertical orientation relative to the body of the helicopter and a weight is placed at the bottom of the banners' leading edge to keep it moving forward and fully open while in flight. The banners being pulled by the Air Corps measure 30' x 90'. How big is the blimp banner? We can fully fund the Air Corps goal of 10 banners and 300 flight hours to operate throughout the remainder of the primary season for another 137k dollars. They have planes and/or helicopters lined up in all primary states to pull banners.

PS - How can I put a picture into my post?

Let us know if the fly over gets any mention in your local press.
