Greetings. I recently won a bet on a website courtesy Ron Pauls second place finish in Nevada (Members only forum, otherwise I would post links so that you could see) and as the winner of the bet three pro Ron Paul banner ads are being purchased for display on this website for 30 days. (The Website in question is www.somethingawful.com, a website with very heavy traffic) The only problem is I pretty well lack artistic skill and can't really make these ads myself. I am hoping that some of you out there can make some banner ads. These ads need to be exactly 468x60 and a max of 30KB.
If I get a good response I will use the top three ads and of course provide links to the website they will appear on. The ads can be about anything, so long as it is pro ron paul and they link to either a moneybomb or a major Paul website. (Also, a reference to "This ad payed for by the Anti-Ron Paul's" would be grat) The only ad in particular I want is a snarky one that says something along the lines of " We were wrong. You were right. Paul actually stands a chance at winning this. Sincerely, the Anti-Ron Pauls."
Thanks ahead of time for any resposne I get to this.

What would interest the visitors of that site the most? You hang there... you probably have a good idea of what "moves" them. It might be a good idea to target the banner to those issues.
So, spell em out here if you can. :)

Check out some of these:

Don't underestimate a simple graphic banner with just text (e.g. white text on black background) that says something provocative or hits on an issue, quick examples:
---
Will Your Vote End The War?
Do you hate George Bush? Keep Rudy, Mitt, Hillary or another neocon from winning the presidency.
Turned off by politics? I was until I heard this man.
Which candidate voted against the PATRIOT Act, which authorizes warrentless spying and searches?
---
Ideally, link to a page of relevant youtube videos. RonPaul2008.com isn't the best for converting completely new people. Need to sell them on Ron Paul first. Something like http://ronpaul101.com would work.

Thanks Goldstandard, thats pretty good. You can make these animated though on this website. So you could have it flash through a few RP factoids before it reaches the final image. Bu thanks for the contribution so far.
As for what that website likes, well, snarky com,es to mind. IF you are truly interested head on over to www.somethingawful.com, click on the forums link, and just lurk around and watch the various banner ads that pop up. I really can't describe it better than viewing it does. The website has a no-holds-barred nothin-is-sacred approach to comedy adn lif ein general. It shouldn;t take more than one or two ads about goonfleet to get the gist of what that site is about.

I asked for banner ads here http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=100798
because I couldn't find any standard sized ones.
I'll probably make some tonight.. and I've got ideas for a few Flash widgets..

Brilliant. I might try my hand at this.
Generally, I don't like going negative, but this is the right site for that sort of thing.

Pretty good so far. I would still say though that these can be multi-framed or animated. Take a look over at www.somethingawful.com to see what I mean. I would like to get one that has 5-6 frames to it to really drive home the message.
You're gunna need to provide some creative direction then. Animated banners have to be GIFs or Flash, and that's a bigger file. I haven't really touched Flash in years.
