View Full Version : Don't be afraid to be angry

The Plan

Let's be honest here for a minute and come to grips with the fact that we are a bunch of pissed off people right now. You all know it's true.

Why do i see some of you trying to calm that fire down? We all have a right to be really pissed off at what's going on. The more we try to hide it the more the media will try to poke at it because they see we are all self conscious about it.

This fire is what made us all push Ron out there and helped make him from a virtual unknown into a real contender. This is powerful stuff and we don't need to bottle it up.

We all really know at this point that the media will NEVER cooperate with us, just face it. All we have to do is direct all that pent up energy at getting the word out and sometimes you need to get really raw in order to get your point across.

We as a group need to quit trying to appear more timid when we are not. We need to come to grips with ourselves and own this. The media trying to write us off a kooks will NEVER stop no matter what we do. The only logical approach at this point is to make some noise. We are all obviously allot smarter than the media would make us out to be and we all know that we can be angry, loud and rowdy as hell without becoming violent.

The more in your face we get the more air time Ron will get just like in the beginning before we started censoring ourselves. We don't need to play the media game, because the deck is stacked.

Think of the media as a casino. We all know what a casino is set up to do. We all know that the regular everyday casual player (aka chump) doesn't get to the high roller room (where all the front runners are). The smart people never go in there in the first place and get out on the streets and hustle their way up the ladder of society maybe to the point where they can just buy the joint. So far we have been sitting in the chair pulling the media lever like a one armed bandit hoping that the wheel comes around to mean good press for Ron Paul. This gamble has payed off a few times at best but overall we are going to lose that fight in the end because that machine is programmed in the favor of the establishment and not us.

We need to focus ourselves on the area outside of their control on the streets where we are the kings. We need to keep hustling on the block and get people ready for Ron to go on a third party run. By the end of the year we need to make sure everybody has met a supporter face to face to see what that fire is all about. More often than not people will see something allot different and will relate in a completely different fashion if they see it in person and not on tv where it can be twisted.

We have the real power here. We represent the anger and frustration of the American people and everybody has the same thing as we do locked up inside them. We need to quit being afraid of it and just get out there and put it on display for the entire world as raw as it can possibly be short of burning down city hall. Get into the streets and tell everybody you know about Ron Paul until you're blue in the face. We need to unleash the fire. We are the last hope of our civilization and I for one plan to come at em swingin' and go down that way if necessary.

This is not about Ron Paul. This is about YOU!!!

There are people here who like to be timid and scared and it's kind of sad. Americans are followers and aren't going to follow some scared pussy around. They want a strong person to tell them what to do. For those who don't agree, you probably are sheeple.

I disagree with you somewhat. Nobody that comes to Ron Paul campaign to help and support him could be considered "sheeple" by any measure of the word. Standing behind Dr. Paul is one of the most revolutionary things you can do for your country. Everybody in the movement is valuable.

Indeed. However; I agree that trying to play to the base and pretend placid is silly. We are revolutionaries; we should be excited and excitable.

Punks tried to do this back in the 80s and failed. The establishment simply ignored them and denied their existence. Eventually, their tactic succeeded and the punk movement died off.

We need the combination of a technological, peaceful but relentless attack. This entails making sure that Ronnie is able to compete until the very end.

Sorry, but this is the kind of thing that is putting off a significant number of older Americans. Many people don't take to people getting in their face and getting "raw". In fact, it will drive them away from you AND Ron Paul.

I really hope this message somehow reaches the campaign.

Focus your energy on Older People. Please.

They are the biggest voters. Bring assurance to them. Make sure they know they are going to be taken care of. The young crowd is taken care of at this point. Grassroots projects are making sure of that. We NEED the older vote. THEY get out to the polls in MASS.

I'm 23. Politicians don't take people my age or younger seriously. I saw Kinky Friedman attempt an amazing run at Texas Governor, but he focused most of his attention on the young vote, hoping to get them out and vote. Even with the massive amount of online support he had, he came in 4th. The sad truth is there are way more young people who will not vote than we think. Our ONLY hope for this election is the Older vote.

I urge all supporters of Ron Paul to get out and talk to "Old" people.

I urge the Ron Paul campaign to focus a lot more energy on getting an older demographic of voters.

look up the stats. we've got the young and it is growing all the time. It's time to get the golden age on our side!

spread the message.

I don't deny that, but what's the alternative?

The baby boomers were all there in the 60's and they remember what it was like to have movements go on like this in popular culture. Us getting out there and making it happen is a chance for them to regain their youth through us. Our message should not be presented to them by some nerdy republican in a bow tie showing up at their front door, everybody can see that pundit type approach is not real. We will never as a group be anything other than what we are and we are not as a group a bunch of quiet passive tv types so why would we even try to act like it. The people that are so brainwashed that they will only respond to something in front of them like you see on tv are too far gone and we don't have enough time to snap them out of it. What we need to do is get out there and get loud and get the message out at all costs with every method we know of.

We need to let it be known that it is ok to be mad about all this so people can feel comfortabe coming over to our side. WE are not politicians and WE shouldn't be trying to sell ourselves, WE need to get the message out for Ron.

The only thing more powerful than the media is human to human interaction. I say the best thing we can do is play into the media image of us in the media and person to person show people how it is a lie. Face it we're doing it already and we should just come to peace with the fact that the media will never cooperate.

The reason i even made the post in the first place was to point out how futile it is to even try to put any kind of control on what's happening here when all of the people involved are the most independant thinkers that the world has to offer. It's just retarted and everybody should recognise that so we can figure out how to get everybody to unleash this monster because i don't know if you've noticed but time does not stop for us and we are running out of it. This group needs a mental regroup so we can shake off what has happened so far and move forward to getting that man in the white house. No more second guessing, that shit is getting really tired really fast.

I am an Angry American. And I will remain angry until I can walk into a store and buy a tool without asking permission. Until I can plant my own land without asking permission or fearing consequences. I want to walk down the street and not fear the police. I want to speak my mind without having to be politically correct.

I am 50 years old, and hardly a youngin'
There are many like me. Being passive and scared is not age specific.
My Mother is 82, and welcomed Ron Pauls message. She was sold the first time she heard him speak.
He sells himself when he is heard. All that is needed is a presentation.
My Pastor likes him, Truth sells itself to those that love truth.
I am an Angry American. I will stay angry till I am Free.

Yes, but up to this point, we have done very little to get the message to older Americans. Most don't even know about him at this point, much less know his message.

Seriously, most people are not going to take kindly to a bunch of unruly young people running up and shouting at them. I think you will find it does not have the desired result.

By the way, I agree with you about the bow ties. :p But, taking a shower and putting on respectable clothes sure wouldn't hurt us, when approaching these folks.

Remember, it doesn't matter if WE think this is a revolution, the vast majority of our fellow Americans think it is a presidential election and it is their votes we need. A LOT of them don't like what is going on in our country and they know something is very wrong.

It's only my opinion, but I think if we can manage to get the message to them in a clear and concise manner, without freaking them out, they will flock to Dr. Paul. In other words, they don't care about the Federal Reserve. Most don't even know what it is. What they care about is the rising prices at the grocery story and the gas pump. Somehow, we've got to explain to them in real terms, what Dr. Paul's plans will do for THEM; how they will be better off financially and security-wise, etc. And do so without making them think we are complete nut cases. :)

Also try to find and recruit angry people.

In Iowa we got 54% of the "Angry at Bush Policies" votes. More than half! More than anyone else by a long shot.

They will vote for Ron Paul, bring others, and donate.
