If he'd make up his mind already, geesh. Seems like he's just a a little afraid of what would happen if he did endorse RP.

But if he does, it could be HUGE in California.

Awesome. Tom is a god to many of us out here. He's the only honest politician in California.

If he endorses RP, I hope they have a press conference. This could bump Ron by maybe 5 points.

Tom should go ahead and endorse Ron Paul. It's obvious they share the same core values. Being a politician, Tom also is looking at how this endorsement could help or hurt him. IMO it does nothing but help him, especially if he wants to run for governor again like I think he should.

He's probably just floating the idea of endorsement to see if it will be his undoing.

That blog sure seemed like he was being mealy-mouthed about the whole thing. His rhetoric would suggest he's squarely in Paul's camp; but he's clearly reluctant to do so -- for what reasons, I don't know.

I think he's worried about what the party wil think of it.

McClintock is very, very principled. He's very much like Ron. He will do the right thing.

I agree, but I have to say I thought that about a lot of people who have disappointed me in the last few months. :(

Yeah I'm expecting disappointment. There are so many afraid it might hurt their reputation if they endorse Ron Paul.

He's against high speed rail? LAME. That's something California needs. Traffic is just too bad here.

I'll be surprised if it goes any farther than this, but the fact he even mentioned it shows some guts. He could have just said nothing.

I really like the guy and doing this is a pretty big deal. He's got a LOT to lose considering he's basically the 2nd most powerful GOP member in the state.

If he caves in I won't forget it, I won't forgive him for it, if he puts reputation over principle.

Losing his senate seat doesn't help us advance liberty either though. I consider a tepid endorsement of Paul much better than an endorsement of one of the other candidates.

I may be reading it incorrectly or misunderstand the definition of "light rail" but he might just oppose it at the state as opposed to the local level (where he has no jurisdiction) which is a reasonable position, although not something I necessarily agree with

I just sent Senator Tom McClintock a nice e-mail.

Maybe a few of you guys here can do the same.

Who knows, we may be able to convince him to endorse Ron Paul.

My guess is it has something to do with the state being 14 BILLION in the hole. But again, I'm guessing.

I sent him an email. I don't think it's possible he could get too many emails from california newly registered republicans promising him their vote and their financial support if he publicy endorses ron paul. and thats all my email said, a 2 sentence bribe pretty much.
