Hypothetical question here folks:

If you could purchase the vote of another American for $1 a piece how many would you buy for Ron Paul and to what extent would you go to get the money? (Bank Robbing, Prostitution and Gambling excluded)?

(forgive me if this is the dumbest Ron Paul thread EVER)

Almost any means necessary as long as it does not violate the rights of others

Assuming legal and ethical considerations were not an issue, at least 20,000.

Can I buy more than 1 vote?

Do other candidates get the same benefit? Buying one vote for a $1?

I'd say 20k too.

but your question is poignant on another level...

IF we, the ground troops, would be willing to spend ALOT of tickets if they were only a $1. How much are the billionaires willing to spend to get "their" special interest promoting candidate in the white house?

a dollar to us is like a 10k to them... nothing.. a drop in the bucket.

... thanks for depressing me!!!

yeah, that's not really much of a democracy. the millionaries/billionaries would be the ones deciding who the president was -- not the regular people.

Of course not, this whole idea is unfair, we must remain consistent.

Nobody could buy a Ron Paul supporter's vote, though. To us, a Ron Paul victory is worth more than gold. What we need is to make people realize this. Money ain't a thang.

I'd buy about 47,000. That's what I'd save on taxes in a single year! lol

Do other candidates get the same benefit? Buying one vote for a $1?That would be a problem, supply/demand stipulate that soon votes would cost more than a $1, in fact it would cost whatever the supporters/candidates are willing to spend.

If we reduce this question down, it's asking how much are we willing to spend to see Ron Paul get elected as President.

I really don't know. I would say about $500, more but I'm rather poor.

FYI: If you rely solely on money (i.e. not volunteer activity), the real cost of a marginal additional vote is more like $10.
