I was googling Ron Paul news and found this little tidbit of info. Ron was being interviewed by Neil Cavuto over on Faux. Here's where he mentioned it:

REP. RON PAUL (R-TX), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: Well, I'm not sure it's the future. It happened today. We don't know exactly what happened behind the scenes, what the president's working group on financial markets might have been doing. But let's hope it's a good sign.

The President's Working Group on Financial Markets is the "Plunge Protection Team."

Perhaps he mentioned that to set up for his question for McPain tonight at the debate.

This PPT sounds highly unethical to me. The government buying stocks to drive up the price? Somebody will make one hell of a profit. Or the government is buying ownership in private companies. It all has a stink to it if you ask me!

Wow I never even caught that in the Cavuto interview when I watched it. Ron Pauls a smart sneaky guy.

I was just thinking the same thing. I had never heard of such a notion possible until tonight.

I found that article while just searching for news, and when I read it his comment just jumped right out at me...Ron's a shrewd guy. I mean he's been in Politics for 40 something years, and keeps getting reelected in his district...he's doing something right.

See y'all in the Whitehouse.
