Again, Pat Buchanan proves he is a bought-and-paid-for phony. He is busy right now pimping for the way Mitt Romney "won" tonight's the debate (because MSNBC gave him BY FAR the most face time.)

His sister, Bay Buchanan, is a Romney campaign high-level staffer.

WHERE IS THE FULL DISCLOSURE!!!

We WANT Romney to win in Florida! That will keep the race open. If McCain wins, we are sunk.
Pat is HELPING US!

Pat got the memo.

I thought his sister was working with Tancredo's campaign. Did she switch over to Mitt after Tancredo dropped out?

I also think this is the reason Tucker mentioned Huckabee as the winner. If all the votes are spread out, Paul has a much better chance of placing higher.

Having know tht whole group (Tancredo, Bay & Pat) for years, I'd say that Bay (Pat's sister) had a LOT to do with Tom's decision to endorse Romney. Please remember that Bay is a convert to Mormanism and is probably backing Romney for mainly the religious angle. Also, several people in the anti-illegal immigration movement see Romney as the best candidate on this issue that 'can win'. Frankly, I'm sick to death of hearing the old who 'can' win mantra but, whether I like it or not, that's the fact of the matter. I still think that the 'he can't win' spiel is what is currently hurting RP the most. I have talked to several people that say they like him but they don't want to, quote, throw their vote away on a guy that can't win.

Gal,

With his 2nd Place in Nevada and 1st/2nd Place in Louisiana this "can't win" stuff is simply not true. And don't trust the polls because he doubled them in Nevada.

Tell anyone who says it that it is a Self-fulfilling Prophecy. If you don't vote for him, he will lose. If you do vote for him, he will win.

Vote for who you want to win.

Oh, believe me, I'm leaving no stone unturned in garnering support for my favorite Dr.!! It's just that this is the MAIN thing I hear when I first start talking to folks about him and it's getting really old because I know every bit of it is coming from the MSM. Of course, perception is everything in many areas and politics seems to be one of them. Heck, I've actually had to resort to going onto the Internet on people's computers to show them photos of cross-dressing Ghouliani videos of flip-flopping Mittens and Huckleberry just to convince them that THOSE guys are unelectable!! It's time-consuming but it's worked in several instances. :D

The GOP is about to get behind Romney very soon. Watch and see. Mitt is going to start running away with the nomination. Pat is merely calling it like it is.

The Buchanans support of Romney really doesn't have much to do with Romney. It's all about his immigration policy and stopping McCain. Pat and Bay only care about stopping McCain

pat is a commentator. he is anti establishment when he is a politician. romney did better than some of the other candidates today, that can be said, and is what he said. he defended himself very well against the money question politics speak wise.

this does not count as support.

So what's the conspiracy for when Pat said Huckabee was poised to win the nomination, a month ago? Did he change who he is working for? Er...what about when he said in the summer of last year that Rudy was probly going to be the nominee? Wait, just a couple weeks ago he was saying McCain.

He's calling it how he sees it. Sheesh.

The GOP and it's elite, with the MSM, all same elites are trying to herd the voters under one candidate, to keep the people from thinking too much about what kind of candidates are running - mere liberals in disguise

Buchanan was even worse this morning on MSNBC, doing a whole segment about how Giluiani, Huck and the beltway establishment will all align behind McCain, and how Romney will be the anti-establishment candidate going to the wire against McCain. He never once mentioned the REAL anti-establishment candidate.

Some "conservative...."

?????? Last I checked, Romney has the most delegates. Why on earth would we want him to win MORE? I must be not getting your "strategy" right now.

I'd say they're pretty evenly split over McCain-Romney.

he means perception-wise.

this guy put a book out indicating that our country is already dead. put it in perspective.

he hates politics, and he definately hates the establishment GOP. Buchanan is the MAIN reason Daddy Bush lost his second term, Buchanan broke rank with the party and ran against an INCUMBENT war victor president and WON new hampshire! this caused Bush to have to stop being president and go campaign for president, which he had to do by being more right-wing than BUCHANAN, who has the overall image of a right wing nutjob. this caused Bush banker friends to shift to a moderate democrat, and he lost the election

I've been reminding everyone since DAY ONE that Buchanan was NIXON's speech writer before he was anything. Nixon was the first SOCIALIST Republican President. He changed ALL his spots when it came time to support Reagan. PB is as big a snake as exists in the Republican Party; he's a shill for whoever's on top at the moment.
