He would be the first ever republican nomination who won via write-in

Yeah, he certainly won't make it on the FL ballot by Tuesday, lol!

There is too much dirt on Newt for him to be a serious candidate for anything

How many Dark Horses are there???? Jesus the media is a broken record

P.S. Michael Reagon is a Neo-Con idiot. No one has excited the Grassroots??? No mention that Paul placed 2nd in Nevada, 1st in LA, and beat every candidate at least once???

what a joke

He contacted me a couple weeks after my success with November 5th. I never got back to him I wasn't interested in what ever he was offering.

No way, he can't win the nomination or even be considered without winning 5 states.

whoever wrote this article is too clueless to continue reading him. I stopped after it was implied that Newt could excite teh grassroots like Reagan did.

Too late for Newt, I think newt even said he's out of the rat-race...

I think Newt is only seeking someone to consider him as VP, getting his name tossed out there this way is the easiest way to do it.

Newt is just trying to sell his book

seriously, my college history prof(who is a republican, weird) called a newt late campaign but he hoped the democratic race would be over when he entered... a lot of repubs love newt...

It's not too late for Newt. And frankly, it would be AWESOME for us if Newt got in.

The more the merrier...

Yesterday an older man saw my RP bumper stickers on my car and said "You mean he hasn't dropped out yet?" I politely (although I didn't want to be polite) told him no, along with a few other things, and ended with the fact that I thought RP was the only candidate worth voting for.

He told me the only one he thought worth voting for wasn't even running-Newt.

Give me a break! Just another one of the "Good Old Boys".

I hate newsmax, they send me e-mails daily about politics and hardly ever mention Ron Paul

Newt is a zero, always has been. Let him waste his money.

Fox tried to get him in already and he couldn't raise any money. Nothing's changed, he still sucks as a candidate. He's a great debater, but there ain't no there there.

It kind of sucks because I really liked this guy not long ago....great talker, but niow I see he talks out his ass.

What complete moron would support Newt seriously? I have to wonder how many people know he wanted a death penalty for people caught selling marijuana?? A freakin' DEATH sentence for selling pot....after a few peoples kids are killed by the government people might want to rethink their decision to endorse this idiot.

I've got a long list of people who now fit that bill. Kind of a bummer.

If the Newt speculation plays out, it would appear the GOP playbook still has a few pages left in it to try and distract from RP.

Remeber Newt broke party lines to campaign for the person running against Ron Paul in Texas. Lots of bad blood between them. Ron won that race anyways. That was the first time the newsletters were used. Newt was involved...

Maybe he gets in to smear Paul without the others having to do it.

The only story the Republican party has without RP as the nominee is do you really want to go back to the Clinton years? I'm sorry, but I don't think Newt can sell that line. He was the reason for the Clinton years.

Sounds like the CFR rollodex is running out of names...Newt won't run - he doesn't have a chance and it will take votes from Mitt...

A Newt-Hillary deathmatch would be bloody but offer little policy difference, because Newt is a big-government insider (hence his 1990s opposition to RP).

Gingrich wants "free" government laptops for all children and wants to do ANYTHING to make Iran submit.
