Way to Ron for asking the question, I wonder how many people know about the PPT.

Was I the only one laughing my ass off during that attempt to cover up his blatant stupidity? McCain looked like a deer caught in headlights. LOL

Maybe if I drop about 60 names they'll forget what the question was!

Okay, I'm stupid and don't know what Ron was asking.

BUT, McCain looked completely lost and had NO idea where to go. Too bad Ron couldn't ask if he was going to actually address the question.

Agreed,
If Ron had just added the PPT reference, many more would have understood his question... I think few understand what Ron was referring to, unfortunately.

He was asking about the the presidents working group on financial markets, this group includes many top bankers and coordinates efforts to manage the markets. He was asking if McCain approved of it and or felt that it should be more transparent.

He should have asked about the war and how he plans to pay for it for 100 years!! I think he missed a good chance.

It was meant to show that paul knows EVERYTHING about the economy where as mccain knows that someone cut taxs in 1982 and he was there..

I think it was a important question. If we are going to "manage" markets is should be transparent so that people don't benefit unfairly. Currently this is even more secret than the Fed.

It was obvious that McCain had no coherent, cogent answer and all he could do was namedrop. Not only did he get busted on not being well versed on economy but he admitted that he would be a meat puppet for the exclusive group of friends that he named. Sounded much like... Bush...

I disagree.
Mccain was totally expecting a war question.
He would have just talked about honor and all this bullshit, and the florida voters would buy it.

It doesn't matter, the point is Paul made McCain look like an idiot.

Unfortunately, it came off as some sort of secret cabal question, nothing more. 98 percent of America said "huh?" McCain still fumbled around, but I think he missed a golden opportunity with that question.

Great point. McCain was braced for a war question. There's a reason he got most of the anti-war vote in New Hampshire - he's a veteran, POW, supported the surge that some are equating with improvement in Iraq, and he's great at spinning the "honor" card.

The question Paul asked him would needed to be specfic to avoid letting McCain give a generic response, but the economy is McCain's weakest area, and Paul's strongest, so this was where it needed to be. I only wonder if there was a specific question that Americans would understand and that McCain would still look dumb on.

It's said that nobody will report on this.
